Its is hard to believe that I have been back from my nine days at The Buddhist House for over a week now. The nine days were both challenging and thought provoking, and will a stay with me for a long while.

I am looking forward to my return for another nine days in May.

I have spent the evening busy packing, ready to spend the next week at The Buddhist House, for the 9 day psychotherapy block. I am looking forward to going back for another visit, but hate the process of packing. I always end up cramming too much in to the case, and ending up with something I can only just lift.
Then I start taking things out, and worrying about whether I will need them or not, so they end up going back in the case.
Hopefully before my train leaves tommorrow morning I will be happy with the end result.
I started today with the best of intentions. My small but much neglected piece of urban garden really need a good tidying and some serious
weeding. I didn't plan for the thick fog which lingers even now into the evening, and the freezing weather which rapidly sent my fingers numb with cold. After pottering around for a half hour or so I finally turned my attention to one of my three spikey Agave plants, one of which was being crowded out by weeds.
This completely put an end to my gardening for the day, as I tried to free the spiked leaves from its weedy companions my frozen hands received some many pricks and stabs that I rapidly got the feeling back into them.
I quickly retreated indoors and planted up some olive seeds instead.
Time to buy some gardening gloves I think.
